Let’s get real for a second. Faith can be a hard thing to practice. Especially when you are supposed to be putting your faith into something, or someone, you’ve never seen. As a teenager, the idea of faith becomes even more complex. But a solid faith in who Jesus is is the cornerstone of our relationship with Him.
When Jesus called Peter out of the boat and onto the water, Peter had his eyes fixed solely on Jesus. But as soon he turned his eyes away and caught sight of the storms raging around him he began to sink. It’ happens all to often in our lives...just like it did to Peter. But when we fix our eyes on Christ and put our full faith in Him, He can do unimaginable things through us for His glory.
2 Corinthians 9:7-10
The series title is based off the song “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” from Hillsong United. Even though the song has been out for a while now, there are some great arrangements that can give it a fresh feel to your students. The radio edit of the song has a higher energy and pacing than the original, and makes for a great mid-set song. You can also use the bridge as a tag with another song to keep the presence of the song but not overdo it throughout the series.
